Later in the afternoon on our Saturday in Madrid, we made our way over to Parque del Buen Retiro. We were naturally drawn to a monument to Alfonso XII when we heard the sound of pulsing drums and other percussion instruments. We found a couple of groups of percussionists that evidently just gather and jam...for hours. The setting sun also set a pretty interesting mood:
Thanks to MB for offering me the use of her 70 - 300 mm lens. I haven't shot with a long lens like that for a long time and it challenged me in a really good way.
Street performers do their thing, adding to the overall character of the park--marrionettes, puppets, and musicians.
