Photos of yester-year (but really just last week)
Check me out. Posting two times in two days. And I am happy to report that I have also flossed the pearly whites every day. Because I'm sure you were all wondering if I would really keep that goal.
I downloaded some photos that were taken last week with my camera. Interesting stories to accompany them, that's for sure.
Three out of my four siblings were able to come last week for a visit. HeyLucy gave one of our nieces this Playmobil dinosaur complete with an "expedition team." She also gave me nifty macro filters for my camera, and Mr. P found the opportunity to test them both out at the same time. These are some of the fun photos I found on the camera that he took:
Dino smiling. Innocent enough. I must warn you the next few images may be considered PG-13 by some folks.
Expedition man is still smiling. I don't think he's quite realized what his fate holds and is still under the impression that it's a friendly dinosaur.
Oh dear. His fate is sealed.
The End.
On a happier note, HeyLucy also brought one of her newly acquired quilt tops. I introduced her to a great quilt shop here and she got all the supplies for her, my sister-in-law, and I to start quilting on it. Then it was my turn to play with the camera. But I actually don't think the macro filter was on. But can I just say how much I love 1.8 aperture? I think I'm a little out of control. Just let me know when it gets annoying.
HeyLucy is a bit picky and prefers leather thimbles:
The whole experience reminded me how much I enjoy quilting, which is kind of funny because it's actually quite monotonous and repetitive. I suppose it's just satisfying to see the progress little by little and the hope of using and enjoying whatever it is that's being quilted.
I was inspired to pull out this little project that I started quite a while ago and I now have high hopes of making lots of progress:
Wish me luck.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, I think I recognized a certain metal thimble!! You old project might be a nice quilt for some little person! Wish I could've been there to help with the quilting.
