He did it. Santa delivered the Nikon D700 today and it is everything I had hoped. Thanks Santa!
Here's my first panorama with it taken from the end of the driveway at sunset looking toward Park City. Looking at the original, you can see a little blue sign down in the lower right. And if you zoom all the way to 100% you can see that it is a Sotheby's for-sale sign. Anyone like to buy the ranch land across from us? Pretty please? We'd like to keep it ranch land.

We sometimes like to have a candle at the dinner table. I have always wondered why candles don't smoke much until you blow them out:
And the chaotic patterns made by the smoke are intriguing as well.
